The Shay family from Besthorpe in Norfolk were struck by a flash flood that has destroyed many of their belongings and all their appliances on the lower floor of their house. Their home insurance was due to be renewed but sadly this disaster struck just before it was sorted out. They are a kind, down to earth hardworking family with a good word for everybody and it is heart breaking how they have been affected. I care about this cause personally because Richard, the father in the family, is a personal friend and a decent man who works hard to provide for his family. This event has truly devastated the family and has left them in a very unenviable position of uncertainty and distress. Please help in any way that you can as this is a rather typical case of bad things happening to good people. I know Richard and his wife and children would be very grateful for any help received.
