Story

Jayden Wright, who plays for Thornton Cleveleys FC Under 13 Reds, is looking to complete a charity bike ride on 22nd March 2025.

The route will start at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United, and end at Thornton Cleveleys FC clubhouse.

A little bit about Jayden:

Jayden has played at Thornton since the age of 6 and is now into his 7th season.

Jayden is the only original player in the team and has enjoyed some memorable seasons throughout his time.

He is regarded as a key player and has been awarded "Player's player" for 3 of those seasons as well as several other awards.

Aside from football, Jayden was a keen rugby player.

Whilst at Preston Grasshoppers, he carried out a charity bike ride from Sale Sharks AJ Bell stadium to Preston Grasshopper's Lightfoot Lane clubhouse and managed to raise over £2k for Place 2 be, a charity supporting childrens mental health.

His latest charity bike ride from Old Trafford to Thornton Football Club is to raise funds to be split between Brian House and to fund a tour for his team.

The ride is just short of 60 miles, which even for an adult, is tough distance to cover, let alone a 12-year-old boy.

We will be posting regular updates on Jayden's training on the Facebook event page and report his progress on the big day.

If you would like to support Jayden through sponsorship, you can find the details below.

We would also ask that you please share this page and help us get the football community behind Jayden for what will be a memorable day for the young man.
