Edit *UPDATE*
My dad's company have been so unbelievably generous and have offered to pay the remaining amount of my dad's medical bill. I am completely shocked and overwhelmed by their generosity. The money that has been raised on here has taken a considerable amount off the bill and so I just wanted to say how grateful and appreciative my whole family are for everyone's generosity.
I am unable to close the page until September 2nd, but until then, please do not donate any further.
Thank you so much for your generosity!

My parents (Neil and Katherine) are on holiday in Guernsey with our two dogs and yesterday their holiday turned into a complete disaster. Whilst on a bike ride my dad's brake cables both snapped whilst he was going down a hill, resulting in him coming off his bike and having a nasty accident. He was treated at the road side for 45 minutes before being rushed to hospital in an ambulance. Last night he was told that he has broken the top of his femur. He's in massive amounts of pain and he has been told that he needs reconstructive surgery on his leg to pin and plate the broken bones back together.
My parents assumed that Guernsey came under the NHS, but unfortunately it doesn't. The total cost for the surgery, the ambulance service and the hospital stay is going to be £25000.
My mum is currently stuck on a campsite looking after the two dogs, and is feeling completely overwhelmed at how she is going to find enough money for my dad. This is the best thing I can think of to help them. If anyone can help in any way (even by sharing this page) we will all be so unbelievably grateful.
Thank you,
Natalie
