Story

After Felicity (born at 33 weeks) spent her first 19 days in East Surrey's Neo-Natal unit, I felt a desire to do something to raise money for the charity that supports the unit, however, I never got round to it.

More recently, my son Barnaby was born in East Surrey Hospital on 5th July at 35 weeks, and was transferred to St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, when he was a day old, to be cared for at their Neo-Natal unit. The support that is given to all of the babies in both units is incredible and the charities that support these unit, work hard behind the scenes to make life as a parent as easy as possible in these difficult situations. We are the fortunate ones, relatively speaking we have spent a short amount of time in Neo-Natal as parents, compared to many others. Little Roo is the charity attached to St Peter's and their team of fairies are continually topping up stocks of food for parents to consume, when going to the shop or spending a fortune on takeaway food is not a priority.

Three Men & A Running Buggy

So, here's the deal... My brother(s) and I will be running from St. Peters Hospital in Chertsey to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill (approximately a marathon in length). As keen runners, this is perhaps not challenging enough, so we will run the distance with a running buggy carrying Felicity (and then either her cousin or perhaps weights, once she gets fed up!) the entire distance.

There are hundreds of worthy charities out there, and each one resonates with different people for different reason. We would be grateful if you could support these two worthy causes.

NB: I have set it up as a crowd-funding page, because justgiving.com doesn't allow for two charities to be supported via one page otherwise.

Thanks x
