Our story began on the 17th February 2020 when we welcomed our beautiful baby girl Sarah Ellen O’Hanlon weighing 5lbs 5oz. Sarah arrived almost 6 weeks early with a few complications and was moved to high dependency in the Neonatal Unit.

Sarah was cared for by the Neonatal nurses, midwives and paediatrician consultants. We were overwhelmed by the level of care provided to both Sarah and ourselves.

As Sarah's 1st birthday approaches we are raising money for the neonatal unit in Altnagelvin and asking our family and friends to support this fundraiser by completing a 5km/10km walk or run and making a donation however big or small to this worthy cause. We would love to see your pictures of your completed run or walk - send to us via WhatsApp. Your kind donations will go towards life saving equipment for premature babies, resources for the family unit and additional staff training.

We want to say a massive thank you to the fantastic team on the Neonatal unit for their care in looking after Sarah and the support they offered Mike and I during a difficult period. Particular thanks to the Neonatal nurses, Dr. Damien Armstrong, Dr Neil Corrigan and Angela Hughes - These people are amazing!
