I'm raising £949 to Restore the Nether Heyford playground Wicksteed horse and place it back on the village green playground as a bench.

The Wicksteed Rocking Horse See Saw that once was part of the Nether Heyford (Northamptonshire) playground on the green in the 1970's
It ended up in the garden at The Olde Sun pub on middle street - half buried and no longer working.
Following a successful fundraiser and rescue mission (Nov 2024) the horse once again is owned by the village. We also raised £100 for The Air Ambulance charity (Feb 2024).
This is a new fundraiser to raise funds for the restoration and placement back on our village green playground. Any donations however small helps.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you think you can assist us with the project, either hands on or via sponsorship or village group help.
We have already moved the horse and initial metalwork has began. We now understand the costs for shot blasting, initial paint, woodwork and concrete hence the new target, anything over any above costs incurred will be handed to the Parish Council for any future maintenance required.
We are also offering sponsorship of metal plaques which will be bolted to the horse for any local trades people or business. Please contact me direct if this is of interest.
Thanks
