I'm raising £750 to Break the Wait: £2 for Faster Neurodivergent Diagnosis

Story

Across the UK, hundreds of thousands of children are waiting—often years—for a neurodevelopmental diagnosis such as autism or ADHD.

Right now, the reality is urgent:

Over 137,000 children are waiting for an autism assessment

Around 316,000 children are waiting for an ADHD assessment

That is over 450,000 children left waiting for answers.

During this time, they are trying to navigate a world that doesn’t yet understand them.

At Neuro-Ink CIC, we work directly with children and families every day. We see the brilliance, the creativity, and the potential—but we also see the frustration, anxiety, and loss of confidence that can happen when support comes too late.

The reality is simple:

NHS waiting lists can take 1–3 years or more

Private assessments can cost around £2,500

Many families are left without answers, support, or direction

Without diagnosis, children can struggle in school, miss out on appropriate support, and begin to believe they are the problem—when they are not.

This is where you come in.

The £2 Movement is built on a powerful idea:

If enough people give just £2 a month, together we can fund private assessments for children who cannot afford to wait.

Your £2 helps to:

Fund faster diagnoses for children

Unlock access to school support and EHCP pathways

Reduce anxiety for families living in uncertainty

Help children understand themselves—and be understood by others

This is not just about diagnosis.

This is about identity, confidence, and giving children the chance to thrive.

£2 may feel small—but together, it becomes life-changing.

Join us.

Break the wait.

Change a child’s future.
