    Story

New Life Community is passionate about people, passionate about second chances, passionate about freedom, passionate about community and Passionate about Jesus! Jesus told us to go and set the captives free, there are many captives right now, within our communities, within our streets..... locked in their own homes, their own minds, bound by addictions, trapped by low self esteem, locked in by depression. We believe by giving people, hope, a home, a family, a safe place to Recover, develope and learn then we can become a shining light for our community. We have 5 supported living houses for both men and women, we run weekly recovery groups, workshops in tenancy sustainment, budgeting, healthy eating, arts and crafts.

We believe that at the heart of recovery and a healthy community is Love, love for others, love for our neighbours and love for our community. We take part in monthly litter picks, community blessings, random acts of kindness and we organise community events for our wider community. This year we have two summer events taking place, 1 in Brynithel, and 1 in Llanhilleth including, live music, games, bouncy castles, face paints, stalls and fun for all the family!!

New Life Community also recently opened a community space in Llanhilleth called The Lounge, it's a beautiful shabby chic charity shop, with tea and coffee being served in a nice relaxing homely environment. It has workshop space and we have began this month running craft workshops and a mum n tots group on a Tuesday afternoon. It's a great place for people to volunteer and gain confidence and skills. It's also a friendly place where people can hang out, talk, get advice, help with forms etc and get help accessing other agency support in the area.

New Life Community is a registered charity in England and Wales. Charity number 1174623.
