The Newbury Living Advent Calendar started in 2018 (set up and run by the amazing Bridgette Lawrence!). Now in its 7th year, and currently organised by Magdalen Wind-Mozley, it is a wonderful way for the community to celebrate and forge bonds over the Advent period. Every day of December leading up to Christmas Eve a window is revealed! These windows are in homes, shops and community hubs like the Museum, Church and Library. The Secret Garden Project, local Schools and even canal boats get involved! It is open to EVERYONE!

It has been an amazing event each year; each day something different, delightful and surprising—from carols to craft, from marshmallow roasting to hairdressing demos! Not to forget awkward 1980s family Christmas photos!

Our fabulous florists Willow and Blooms are window number 2 this year, and have produced some stunning arrangements in the past.

This year it all kicks off on the 1st December at Shaw House at 11am ❤️❄️❤️

We also raise funds for three brilliant local charities—Eight Bells for Mental Health Newbury, Loose Ends and Newbury Soup Kitchen! Last year we raised £600…
