I am a single mother of 5 children plus i have been given my nephew to look after as well. My children range from 17 to 3 year old. I am currently living in a 3 bedroom house, which is too small for my family. I have 2 girls in 1 bed and the other two have their own beds as they both have additional needs, i have the 2 boys in a room! And i have the other which is often with 1 of the girls! I am currently in a housing assosition home, i have been trying to move and unlucky for me they do not have anything bigger to move me into. Being in this house is causeing nothing but stress. None of my girls can sleep in bunk beds, as i have a specialist bed for my child who has numerous problems, she is deaf, goldenhar syndrome, branchial arch syndrome, butterfly vertabra, duane syndrome, Scoliosis to the point when she turns 14 she will have to have an operation to fuse her spine ,along with some other problems. Being in this house for her is not helping as she is nearly 13 and to be unable to do the simplist of things like take a shower on your own , she cant as the housing assosication wont put in a wet room as we are over crowded, for her alone it will a massive help, my 5 yeah old has recently been diganosed with adhd and is under assessment for other learning difficulties. Her mental age is around the 3 year mark. She finds it hard that she can not have her own space to cool off when she is feling angry ir when things get to much. My nephew is a 16 year old boy who has been in care since he was young, he has moved around alot, going from home to home, not having a “family” and now i have been given the chance to do this and he loves it here but if finding it hard with the lack of space to help him when he feels its too much.. i am at risk of loosing him due to lack of space, and they taking him back into the care life again.... i have tried everything home swapper to council lists to social worker, hospital , and any other agency i can think of to help me and i get the same answer everytime. There os nothing ithey can do. I am purly trying to get help to see if i can raise enough money to get a deposit for a bigger home, i want to help my family as much as i can and keep us all togeather. and to help cut down the stress we are all going through xx
