Story

In memory of a much-loved cherry tree

In light of the recent harm caused to a much-loved cherry tree on our road this is an effort to raise money to sponsor the planting of a new tree.

Chesterfield Gardens has hardly any trees and although the council intend to plant new trees they are waiting for funding.

If we raise more than we need all funds will be donated towards tree sponsorship on Chesterfield Gardens.

Below is a picture of the tree which is due to be felled after being vandalised. This tree is known by many of the locals as the "buzzy" or "bee tree" as each spring the bees can be heard as they visit the blossom in large numbers.
