Story
Rural women in Zambia often have no income opportunities for themselves and are not involved in decision making around household finance matters. Cattle are slaughtered in the villages and their hides and horns are often seen to be waste and are burnt. We want to train women to tan the hides to make quality floor rugs and to clean and paint the horns into works of art and earn their own income. The money raised would enable us to buy basic equipment plus paints and to cover some basic costs in training the women and accessing markets.
