Story
On the 13th December my partner and I will be hiring a driver and translator to visit the orphanages in Nha Trang, Vietnam, along with supplies that they rely on which come purely from donations.
The orphanages we will visit have anywhere from 10 to 130 orphans residing there and are mainly run by nuns or people who have given up their lives to care for them. The orphans range in age from newborns to teenagers from the local areas and in most cases have been left abandoned at the gates of the orphanages.
With the money that we raise we will personally buy supplies such as baby formula, nappies, food, books, toys, washing detergents, shampoo & soap and anything else that is suggested to us. I would like to send every person that donates a message afterwards with exactly what we purchased with their donations and I am hoping to create a video of the day (if this is allowed) which I will also send to you so that you can see first hand where your money has gone. (Please send me a private message on Facebook with your name and donation amount so that I can get back to you with the info afterwards!)
Depending on the amount we raise, the orphanages we plan to visit are as follows; Nhan Ai Orphange, Lac Thien Orphanage, Dai An & Sunflower Orphanages, Thien Tam Orphanage, Song Lo Orphanage & lastly Anh Dao Orphanage.
Below are some pictures that previous volunteers have taken when visiting these orphanages:
