Story

Supporting NHS and vulnerable communities

I am an ethical designer Sanyukta Shrestha specialised in couture sustainable wedding dresses. Our skilled team is divided between England and Nepal, nearly 5000 miles apart but we are working towards the same goal - using our skill and compassion to serve our brave NHS & key workers in the UK to the most vulnerable communities in Nepal to fight the crisis together.

We are working on strict guidelines of lockdown and have been making PPE Visor and Mask with no charge at all using our own resources to help our NHS and key workers to any vulnerable communities fighting Covid 19. By using our skill & compassion, we want to continue our voluntary work however we are running out of materials we had now.

We have already used 100 meters of fabrics from our own resources to make more than 500 masks with 3 layers of 100% cotton as per CDC guidelines. Every £1000 will allow us to buy extra 100 meters of recommended fabrics to make 500 more reusable masks for our key workers and vulnerable communities. We are making PPE Visors for the NHS to help ease the shortage of PPE in this crucial time. At a cost of £1000 we can buy materials for 500 visors to help our NHS heroes, anything raised above this will allow us to buy and make more.

How we are working :

I am running 2 sets of our amazing skilled fashion armies to be used in each country where we are located. We are making them while staying safe at home, following strict hygiene & social distancing rules during lockdown.

We are making PPE visors for NHS frontline staff with the help of my husband and my daughter and hundreds of handmade 100% cotton masks have been made for key workers in the UK from my home studio in Lincolnshire, alongside teaming with seamstresses across England.

Our Team in Nepal are making special protective masks for Vulnerable elderly people and providing food essentials for care centres for homeless people in Nepal. We are reaching out to donate as much masks needed for these communities who otherwise cannot afford to buy masks.

Your 100% donations will help support more NHS staff & Key Workers who are fighting bravely to keep us all safe and vulnerable communities who need the protection most. If you are able to make a donation, however small, we would be very grateful.

Every donation brings us closer to offering more and taking care of as many people as we can. Thank you to everyone.
