Our wonderful NHS staff at the Royal Derby Hospital and other hospitals around the country are in desperate need of scrubs. We have joined a nationwide group of volunteers who are currently using their skills to make as many pairs of scrubs as they possibly can to donate to the NHS as soon as possible. Some staff are having to buy their own as there aren’t enough to go around and we really want to help them during this very difficult time. My friend (Julie) and my mum (Gail) are able to use their professional sewing skills and their equipment to make the scrubs but the fabric and materials will cost such a lot of money. Even though we have already donated money ourselves into the project, more materials are required. The fabrics we have purchased so far have been £65 for a 30 metre roll. Any amount donated would be a massive help for myself and others to purchase the fabric required to fulfil this task. I can assure anyone who donates that every penny of the money raised will be spent on fabric and materials which in turn will help our NHS heroes in this fight against Covid-19 . Any funds left over will then be donated directly to the NHS. Thank you! 🌟

Belper NHS fundraiser raffle

As you know, our dear friend Julie Reddy is the voluntary Belper coordinator of ‘For the love of scrubs’ initiative and we need help fundraising so we can buy the specific fabric to make medical scrubs. Myself and Gil Wilson are helping with the fundraising side so Julie and the Belper team can sew, sew, sew. The scrubs are for THE FRONT LINE AT OUR WONDERFUL ROYAL DERBY HOSPITAL, GP’s AND CARE HOMES ETC.

In conjunction with our justgiving page, we are also running a raffle for people to be entered in to. Anyone who donates to the justgiving page can leave their name and they will automatically be entered into the draw. The draw will be live-streamed (date to be confirmed).

We are asking businesses in the local area if they are willing to contribute raffle prizes. We would be very grateful 🙂

Any surplus money will be donated directly to the NHS.
