**11th May, 2020. Support for this fundraiser has been incredible, thank you to everyone and thank you from the Staff at UHL. It has been a very busy time and we have been delivering food and drinks to the hospital a few times a week. **3rd April 2020: Thank you thank you and a BIG thank you from the Staff at UHL. MEAU had their first stash of snacks & drinks this week. We are now also supplying food items for staff in their new 'Staff Haven' at Llandough-a place where they can go to heat food up and take a break from the very stressful Wards. Dianne x

*28th March Update: A BIG BIG thank you to all who have donated so far, it's overwhelmingly wonderful!!. Due to such a large amount of money coming in, which is hundreds of pounds more than I could have anticipated, with your blessing supplies can now be shared with other Wards and for other Staff essentials needed at UHL?. This is a Fund Raising Page for our hard working angels in the Medical Emergency Assessment Unit at Llandough hospital. They are bearing the brunt of treating Covid 19 patients locally and from around the Vale. The loyal Staff are exhausted and constantly running out of snacks and soft drinks, which help keep them going during their very tough shifts.

A week ago, following on from an appeal by the MEAU manager, I put up a local request on Facebook asking for donations of soft drinks etc. Quite a few people so kindly responded and left items on my doorstep, then the wonderful people at 4x4 Response South Wales stepped in and delivered the drinks, cakes, soap etc to MEAU. The Staff were soooo appreciative.

Sadly, due to the latest Government statement telling people not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary (which is the right thing to do) these donations have now, understandably, stopped.

Hence this Page.

I have just teamed up with James Gough (a complete stranger to me) of Fourways News in Penarth. I will use the money you donate to purchase items at Fourways and James will then deliver them to MEAU Staff at no additional cost. Apart from doing this for us, James @ Fourways has been so supportive of the cause that his business is going to pay 50% of anything I purchase, out of their own pocket!! His support is amazing.

SO…please please please, if you can, donate a little or as much as you can so that we can have a regular supply of refreshments arriving at the hospital. We are all in this for the long haul it seems, so let’s work together in any way we can and support our wonderful NHS Staff who in turn, are supporting very ill patients during this crisis….thank you so much….Dianne (Penarth).
