I've raised £200 to Fund the Children's Ward Parents Support Group at Altnagelvin Hospital

Our nephew, Liam, has a severe form of epilepsy.
He began having seizures at 5 1/2 months and has had multiple since. His seizures have all been prolonged with the shortest being 40 mins. Each episode results in him being hospitalised with two admissions to intensive care. He is currently undergoing a number of tests to try to get a final diagnosis and ensure he is receiving the correct treatment to manage his condition.
The worry that any parent faces is huge, let alone that of a child that requires medical assistance for any length of time.
My sister and I are running the half marathon in September to raise money towards the Altnagelvin Hospital parents support group (of children of ward 6 and 16).
This relatively new group has been set up as a source of support to parents of children frequently attending the hospital. The group also organise resources for the ward such as much needed toys and puts on events to bring families on the ward closer together.
Hospital stays are long and isolating and this group provide support and reduce those feelings of isolation.
Ultimately resources obtained by the support group help all children and families who have to stay in hospital (for whatever length of time). This group is a worthy cause and any donations to the fundraiser, or support for this cause is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
