Story

I have committed myself to doing what I can to help orphans. Many of us know what it means to have the love and affection of a mother, to have a father who provides and inspires, to be comforted when we are at our lowest... Thanks to the almighty many of us dont know what it feels to have none of those things... We wouldn't know what it's like to go to sleep without a bedtime story... We wouldn't know what it feels like to have no loving adult figure to go to when you have been bullied, or when you have been hurt... To have nobody to teach you how not to make mistakes... To not be able to even get a loving hug when you feel most vulnerable.

I want to do what I can to make just a small difference to the lives of orphans. I believe if many of us do the same, we will make more than just a small difference.

Please help me raise as much as possible to help build an orphanage.

My hope is that I will find success in this small endeavour and that this success will motivate me to do more in the future. I am an optimist and have faith we can do more, and even if you cannot donate I hope this will at least have raised a little awareness in you.

I have chosen Gambia to send donations to. The number of orphans is still high in Gambia. UNICEF estimates that there were 72,000 orphans aged between 0 and 17 in 2009.

Help me make a difference, brick by brick we can contribute to the building blocks of a happy childhood and a brighter future for orphans.
