I have a cat called fidjit who is 3 years old, he was found abandoned with his brother and sister, luckily a friend had found them and took them in.

Fidjit was not as poorly as his brother and sister so he came to live with me, he was 6 weeks old covered in motor oil, had larvae in his ears and a really bad case of worms.

Unfortunately even with all the help and medicine from the RSPCA, his brother and sister were too poorly and passed away not long after being taken in.

After a few trips to the vets fidjit was given a special bath to get the oil off, had the larvae removed from his ears, was put on medication for the worms, had his injections and thanks to the RSPCA he was neutered.

At this point in time he is a happy healthy 3 year old cat with lots of happy memories to make on his journey though the years, he has made me so proud with everything he has gone through and has still a smile on his face.

Unfortunately not all cats and kittens have help like fidjit did and it broke my heart to learn that there has been a massive increase on the number of abandoned kittens and elderly cats at the RSPCA Shelters.

The RSPCA do their upmost to help all animals but they are limited to what they can do without funding or even just a little help.
