Story
Gill, myself and our daughter Daisy are entering this year's London Triathlon. I will be competing in the Sprint Category (800m Swim; 20km Cycle and 5km Run). Daisy will be competing in the TriStar2 Category for Age 11-12 year olds. (300m Swim and 2km Run). Gill will undertaking the swim leg (800m) for relay Triathlon team. All three of us will be swimming in the London Docklands. (Gill and Daisy will be doing their first ever open water swim in the murky Thames water). The event takes place on Saturday 4th August.
Whilst doing this, we are hoping to raise money to support Josh and his family through the very difficult next few months. Josh together with his family are battling childhood cancer, something that is every parent's worst nightmare. His story is on facebook, but any money raised will go direct to his family to help them in a small way with the hidden costs of supporting your child through a journey no child (or parent) should have to go through.

6 years agoThank you to everyone that donated. It means a great deal. It was a very hot day yesterday but all three of us managed to complete our respective events inspired by both your donations and having the opportunity to support Josh. Daisy completed her first national event in the Thames and although she didn’t like the water she didn’t stop. Gill set a PB in her swim and I was able to finish in the sweltering heat. Thank you everyone.

6 years agoThanks to everybody that have sponsored so far, the money is going to a great cause. We have one last training session in the lakes on Saturday (all three of us) and then the event itself on Saturday 4th. Temperatures are expected to be in the 30's so not expecting a quick time, but you have given us all great motivation to get round.
