Hello hello, and thanks for visiting my just giving page. I've decided to get my fundraising shoes on, and will be carrying out various activities to raise money for a cause and community close to my heart. I visited Soma with my University in 2015 to volunteer in one of the local primary schools, and it was a truly life changing experience. They live with so little and in such poverty, therefore, I have set up the 'Give to Gambia' project, and it is my aim to raise money to contribute to various projects that will have a positive affect in the community, such as, paying for rice to support the Kairo Konko Scout Fellowship Rice Fund, which provides families with food who need it most, and providing children and the
teachers with stationary and other resources to aid there learning and teaching. Some of the the money I'm hoping to raise will go towards...
-Mosquito nets to prevent malaria, a real killer in The Gambia (£10 will pay for 3 nets)
-Sports Equipment, such as, footballs to support the schools new football academy.
-Providing materials and covering labour costs to help enable another school to build a water well.

I am challenging myself by carrying out various endurance based activities, and seeing how many different events I can carry out before I travel out to the Gambia. So far, I am signed up to:

-Eastbourne Half Marathon (Mar)
-Hastings Half Marathon (Mar)
-Rome Marathon (April)
-London West Tough Mudder (May)
-Edinburgh Marathon (May)

Any donations no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated and make a positive difference for the lives of young children and the community of Soma.
