Story

Our aim is to motivate and empower young people, to help them turn away from negative influences. We also provide for them and act as positive role models for young people. We believe that through community care and respect, we can help our young people access a positive path, full of opportunities. We provide resources to young people in Wandsworth and the surrounding areas, by suppling advice and assistance. We organise programmes of physical, educational and other activities, to support families who are effected by violent crimes.

My son Nicholas Stewart was tragically killed on the Henry Prince Estate on the 13th August 2014. He was doing the thing he loved the most, football was his passion. In memory of my son Nicholas, The Nicholas Stewart Project (NSP) (Community Interest Company), was set up by me, Jennifer Beckford.

The aim of the NSP is to support young people, empower them and equip them with the tools necessary, to build their confidence to succeed in life. For example encouraging young people to get involved with competitions that enable them to challenge themselves.

Some of the work we have been doing locally :

-Working closely with local communities to raise awareness of knife/gang related crimes through presentations, speaking at events and participating in forum discussions

-We provide Rethink mentoring programmes in local schools

- We also offer support services for grieving families

Our 2020 is vision, is to support the mental wellness of young people in Wandsworth and surrounding areas. By providing activities to promote positive talking, positive thinking and physical exercise, we hope to encourage young people to use positive words for conflict resolution.
