Little did I know my world would be turned upside down at 9:30am on 10th July 2015...”Nicola I am sorry but you have Triple Negative Breast Cancer” ...life can change in a blink of an eye and Cancer has a lot to answer to but I will never give up. August 2015 was the start of chemo ..you hear of people on chemo but never think it would be yourself. Then the new year of 2016 I had my rt masectomy and lymph nodes removed...Dear Cancer you took away a part of me but hey I got rid of you squished onto a laboratory slide Nicki 1 - Cancer nil. Following surgery I gave cancer a final goodbye with Radiotherapy. Gotcha.....had the all clear in 2016.... June 2017 it was time to get me back firstly with left masectomy then reconstruction surgery. Life was gonna be great no more cancer and got back what it took away but no you reared your ugly head again as they found you during my reconstruction. Not only in that mammary node but a few weeks later you decided to invade my lung. Me being stronger than ever I endured a lung procedure and more chemo to beat you.. even though I knew now there was no cure from you. January 2018 stable yes !!! Gotcha again ...but you fought back again now sitting in lining of my lung in more lymph nodes and invading my skin....the fight is not over you cause me much pain but watch this space cancer I am a fighter and never give up.

I have decided to set up this page to raise funds for any treatment I am able to source which is currently not available on the NHS and also to fund complimentary therapies to help with healing and pain relief and try to kick this beast into touch for as long as possible.

At present I am hoping to get onto a clinical trial (nhs) for PARP inhibitors but if that doesn't help will be thinking of looking for immunotherapy options for treatment or other options which may involve looking elsewhere privately.

Should my treatment be successful and/or no further treatment needed or can be done my aim is to donate any funds to research at Breast Cancer Now and Cancer Research Wales as we need to get kinder more effective treatments available to everyone.

October 2018....I am now 4 weeks into my clinical trial and hoping this will help to stop any further progression.

I now also have progression in my spine...will continue my fight and forever looking for anything which may help give me longer time with my family x

November 2018.....8 weeks into clinical trial but no response at this time, been given another 8 weeks on trial hoping that the drug starts working soon, Next scan results will be 24th December 2018 if no response time to find another treatment. STILL FIGHTING
