On the 21st July I will be embarking on a 6 day walking expedition solo across the Snowdonia National Park in Wales. The route, the Snowdonia Way, is 97 miles long.

I have always had the desire to do a long walking expedition and at the same time I am keen to find new ways of raising funds to continue supporting the Compassionate Children's Home in Nairobi!

The focus of the children’s home is to take care of infants who are abandoned by their parents and orphaned at a young age. I have been supporting the children's home over the past four years and they were recently fortunate enough to receive funding from Cardno which was spent renovating the building and fixing their access to water. Any funds raised through this expedition will be spent on food supplies, school fees and perhaps in support of their sister orphanage in Kakamega.

This expedition will be very challenge for me. I'll be alone with no tour guide or support so it will be putting my navigation skills to the test.
