Story
Meet the Rock of Joy Netball School Team. This team are playing in their equivalent of the school Nationals later this year and have no kit to play in! They are playing in school uniforms, many with no shoes. The girls play on a pitch marked out with ash from the fire and shooting into homemade nets- but they are fantastic players !
Emily from Chester U15 Gladiators is hoping that some netball families may donate money to buy dresses and bibs, so that the Rock of Joy Uganda team can wear something special when they play important matches. Emily's mum Nicky has just come back from teaching in the Rock of Joy school, Uganda and thought the team were fantastic.
Emily wants to raise £250 to buy a kit for 8 players, if she raises any more than this, she will use the money to pay for netball equipment to send over. Some kind grandparents have already donated some netballs, as the Ugandan team have been playing with a football! If any businesses wish to donate, Emily will ensure that their companies are mentioned in any publicity.
Once Emily has raised enough money, she will post pictures of the kits arriving in Uganda and some video footage of the team playing in their kits
Hope you can support this amazing team #netballsisterhood#chesternetballgoesglobal
