Story

Hello! My name is Nico, and I’m a young historian, geographer and sustainability advocate, a scholar at Winchester College, soon starting Un ited World College of the Atlantic.

This August, I’ve pledged to kayak 100km+ down the River Nene for sustainability education and nature protection — locally and globally. My paddle pledge is part of a bigger campaign: the GYC 1,000km Sustainability Challenge - a global movement of youth walking, running, cycling or paddling 1,000km+ collectively, raising funds and awareness for solutions to climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. Family members will cycle 200km alongside!

All funds raised will go directly to the Global Youth Council on Science, Law and Sustainability and the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, who are working to empower youth, promote education about sustainability solutions and mobilise science to protect nature - doing essential work to uplift youth voices, spread sustainability solutions, and mobilise science for our planet.

Whether you give £2 or £200, your support will help educate, empower and mobilise youth voices — and protect the natural world for generations to come. Thank you so much... please consider sponsoring me!
