Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page. We're raising £3500 to help alleviate the financial burden of laying Aiden Longmuir to rest.

Aiden will be remembered as a deeply kind, sensitive, and thoughtful soul whose life was a shining example of selflessness and compassion. He dedicated much of his time and energy to helping others, raising funds for charitable causes and crafting beautiful handmade items to donate.

His generous spirit touched many lives. Most recently, in March, Aiden took on the challenge of knitting every day, raising an impressive £175 for Alzheimer's Research UK. His giving nature didn’t stop there - he regularly donated toys to children’s wards in local hospitals, often sourcing them personally from charity shops. His love for crochet led him to create and donate premature baby hats, tiny hearts, and flowers to hospitals, bringing comfort to families during delicate times. Always thinking of others, he also crafted sensory and fidget toys, which he freely gave to schools and playgroups to support children's development and well-being.

Outside of his charitable work, Aiden found joy in the peacefulness of nature. He lovingly tended his garden, fed the birds, and cared for his pets - his fish, his gargoyle gecko Paprika, and his cat Dusk. Animals and the natural world offered him a sanctuary, a place where he felt free and accepted.

Aiden was also a talented cook, known especially for his creative flair in the kitchen. He delighted in making vibrant layered rainbow cakes, fresh pasta from scratch, and his much-loved signature dish: Aiden’s Chicken Stir Fry.

His legacy is one of kindness, creativity, and quiet strength. Aiden’s life was a gift to those who knew him, and his impact will continue to be felt through the many lives he touched with his generosity and love.

Thank you again for your support, any additional funds raised will be donated to the various causes Aiden supported during his life.
