Who doesnt love the sea when you live on an Island of 9 Miles by 5 Miles? Jersey is the host to many a swim round the Island! This one is different, the first ever attempt, we are a relay team of 6 ladies (all middle aged) who are going to swim around the Island twice in a day! This is a huge Challenge for us all, we will be in the water for an hour at a time and we will be swimming for 20-24 hours non stop. The sea temp has not risen as it normally does this year, so we predict the temparature to be around 16 degrees! We will be raising money for Healing Waves-Ocean Therapy who give assistance to disabled people, allow them to have the experience of the sea in a controlled safe manner and give them as much pleasure as we get from swimming in the sea!
