Hi I'm Max, currently I'm fundraising for a trip to Canada with my fellow scouts called Camp Canada. It is an opportunity to learn about other cultures, make friends, learn about survival and team building, and have some fun! Now the reason this is not a frivolous endeavour, is that young people are not getting enough life experiences of adventure, exploration, or independence, and being a Scout gives me some of these opportunities.

For those of you who don't know, scouts is an organisation of young people who learn to survive in the wild...well at least that was what it was.

I have 12 months to raise the money and I will be doing lots of fundraising such as bag packing at supermarkets, selling plants that I've grown from seed, some obligatory car washing, quiz nights and maybe even some busking! I would really appreciate if you would donate a sum of money (you decide). The result is that I might get to go to an event that could change my life , I will have the chance to participate in some amazing activities, such as hiking, canoeing, rock-climbing, mountain-biking. Over a 10-day period I will meet young people from South London, explore a range of new cultures and faiths, and learn more about myself as an individual.
