Story
Ruby was born with bilateral talipes (club feet) which, as a baby caused her feet to be turned in and pointed downwards. As a baby Ruby was in full legs casts for the first year, then as she got older had to wear boots and bars ( ponseti method) .She has had many operations to correct her feet however one foot keeps turning back and causing her a lot of pain. Ruby has had various options to go forward but has decided, with the input of her consultants, that a below knee amputation would the the right decision in the long term. Ruby is 13 now and carries on as best as she can with the pain she’s in , We would like ruby to have the best prosthesis possible to improve her quality and comfort of life.xx
Hopefully she will be having the operation beginning of next year x
