Weʼve raised £220 to support the ABUHB Community Huntington's Disease Team

Funded on Saturday, 24th December 2016

    Story

I have decided not to send Christmas Cards this year, but instead to donate money to the ABUHB Community Huntington's Disease Team.

This community team provides much needed support to families across South East Wales, who have been effected by Huntington's Disease.

My husband Grant was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease in 2013, and they have supported us to come to terms with the illness and to show us that life goes on

The clinical features of Huntington's disease can include psychiatric problems and difficulties with behaviour, feeding, communication and abnormal movements.
People can start to show the features of Huntington's disease at almost any age, but most will develop problems between the ages of 35 and 55.
The condition usually progresses and gets worse for around 10-25 years, until the person eventually die
