Blaikiewell Animal Sanctuary is a registered charity in Aberdeenshire which cares for over 50 horses along with many other animals. These animals are at Blaikiewell for life and are never rehomed, meaning that they settle for life with their friends in a peaceful environment.

The cost of feeding the animals, especially horses in the winter, is substantial and so we are taking part in the Illuminator 2018 at Glen Tanar to raise some funds to help with the costs over the winter.

The Illuminator is a 15 mile run / walk over hill trails through the night at Glen Tanar. Only head torches for light!
