I've raised £3000 to help fund funeral costs

On Thursday 7th May 2020 one of our colleagues suddenly passed away in what we are led to believe was a tragic accident. His name was Paul Halliday and he had given over 15 years service to the business. Paul was one of our chefs at Cairns Bar in Glasgow and his team have asked me to post the following about him.
Paul was a key member of our team who made an impression on everyone he met. He was a modest man who worked very hard and gave 100% on every shift regardless of his personal issues or struggles he faced outside of work. His quiet nature made him one of the most endearing members of our team both amongst his colleagues and guests alike.
He was renowned for his one liners and the subtle way he would throw them into the conversation, always ensuring a chuckle even during the most difficult shifts.
Its Clear to everyone that met Paul that he had a kind and caring nature and he took extra care preparing the meals of his regular guests, even sneaking out of the kitchen to deliver them himself. This extra effort summed up his entire approach - small acts of kindness executed humbly and discreetly.
While Paul was a very private man he always spoke fondly of his mum and sisters and his pet fish who he nurtured and cared for always making sure they were fed and content and safe.
Working with Paul was a pleasure and his loss has been felt throughout our whole team. We have all of Pauls' family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We are so grateful for the opportunity to have worked beside such a kind and simple man who will be deeply missed by all.
We appreciate that losing a loved one is difficult for any family, especially during such difficult circumstances. If anyone would like to donate (no matter how small) to help Pauls family cover his funeral costs then please follow the instructions and all donations will be gratefully accepted in this families time of need.
