    Story

I'm asking for help for a local family who's son has suddenly been rushed into hospital within the last week with sepsis. The mother is trying her best to still run a family home and see her son every day but at the moment is finding it really hard to do as she has had to stop working her full time job which is obviously affecting her income and travel costs getting to and from the hostpital everyday which is done by bus and he is now being taken to bristol which is going to make things even harder.

Here's a little run down of what has actually happened to him from a member of his family.

He had stomach pains for 3 weeks and visited his GP and even a&e but he was sent home without even blood tests being done, then last Monday he was rushed into hospital barely able to walk with his organs failing and they found that the pain he had for weeks was due to an infection and the infection has now spread to his blood causing sepsis. The infection level (CRP) in his blood was at 400, the normal level should be 8 and his temperature has been reaching as high as 40.3c. He's now had a feeding tube fitted, a canulla put into his neck, biopsies taken from his stomach, CT scans, MRIs, xrays, ultrasounds, heart rate traced, all tests imaginable but they're still not able to find the source of the infection.

"The doctors are predicting that Reece won't even be able to sit his GCSEs anymore, that's how long he's expected to stay in hospital. We've also just been informed that he will be going to Bristol hospital providing they have a bed available for him. As none of our family drives this will likely mean minimum two buses and two trains to get to him, and the same again to get back home"

So please help if you can.
