Story
We are a newly formed Community Interest organisation working with disenfranchised families within our local boroughs. We mentor young people who are at risk of or have been impacted by serious youth violence and other issues affecting their personal development in life. We believe in a holistic approach of supporting families rather than just the affected young person. We have the capacity to support with mentoring, counselling, advice, advocacy, employment and training.
As part of our engagement with young people and families we often take them out to participate in activities like bowling, cinema or for something to eat. We also run film and debate clubs, chess club and workshops on life skills.
We are hoping to set up a programme that includes activites such as Taekwondo and structured educational workshops for both young people and parents.
As we are currently unfunded for the work that we do we are raising funds in order to be able to continue to deliver a much needed service within our communities.
