I stumbled across a picture of Dusk in my search for another dog to join our family. It turned out that she and her siblings had been rescued from the streets of Serbia by a lovely lady. Without this lady I wouldn't have Dusk and she would have been captured by the dog catchers,put into a horrific kill shelter and in humanely euthanized days later. Dusk and her family had already been chased,tortured,threatened with poisoning,attacked by children. I fostered Dusk but knew I'd keep her forever after she arrived from her long car and boat journey from Serbia. I feel I want to give something back to this lady and the others that help save dogs on a daily basis. I'm not fortunate enough to be able to just hop on a plane and donate generously so that she can continue her amazing work so I need help. Yes you can argue that we have plenty of rescues that need help here but if you took the time to look into how countries like Serbia treat animals you may understand . The money will be spent on flights,buying dog and cat food ,neutering,securing safe foster homes for rescued dogs and vet bills. On a daily basis this lady travels to feed and give water to stray and abandoned dogs,rescuing the ones she thinks she can find a home for,comforting the ones she cannot take with her and tirelessly fundraisers to pay vets bills. And all this whilst working and bringing up her family. I'd really like to help her and unlike a big charity the help and donation will actually help and make a difference,particularly by neutering as many dogs as possible with the money raised. Please give this some thought and help me to help her.
