Story
I am 17 years old, I have always been interested in helping people and trying to do my best to make a difference and now I have been given a great opportunity to do that in Fiji. Latitude volunteering is a great program that gives many young people like myself to go abroad to country's that are a lot less fortunate and help them and their communities grow stronger through volunteering. I have now been given this amazing opportunity to go to Fiji and actually make a difference to children's life and the communities life's, even if it just help out with building schools to homes or helping with the smallest jobs they need help wirb during my stay it will make them very happy and leave them with a lasting memories. In Fiji children still need to walk to the nearest river to get water, for washing their clothes as some don't have running water in their houses and the nearest river can be a 30 minute walk from their houses they will need to do that nearly everyday before school. Every year I go and visit my grandparents who lives in a small Villege in Portugal and people who live in the villege still needs to go to the river to get water everyday and they still have animals to provide food for them such as, chickens to lay eggs for them to eat and goats for milk and cheese, so I can relate to these poor families that have to still live like that. I was lucky enough to move to England but the people over there aren't as lucky as I am. They need people like me to go over and help them as they will be so grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read my story it only takes a couple of minutes to donate some money, thank you I really appreciate it and i am very sure they will too. I will be doing a sponsored swim and walk.
