On 29/4/17 myself and Natalie had to go through something that no parent should ever have to endure! Sadly, on this day our son Nico De'Lucia was born sleeping. We will always treasure the first time we saw him in the scans, the first kick and so many other memories. But what got us through this the most, was the wonderful maternity staff at Queens Hospital and the cold cot they provided us with. This allowed us to spend a few days with Nico and although we wanted a lifetime of memories we were thankful for the short time we could have. Sadly on this day 3 other families had to endure the same pain as us but there was only 3 cold cots in the hospital. After speaking with the midwifes , the most they have ever seen on a single day is 5 so we would like to buy 2 more coldcots for Queens Hospital so every family has the opportunity we had to make some forever memories with their little angels. We feel this would be a gift from Nico as he has pushed us through this hard time together and made us want to help as many people as we can who suffer the same hardship. It's a pain to difficult to put into words but to say a part of your heart is missing would be an understatement.
