Story

I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.” Edward Everett Hale

Inspired by Greta Thunberg, this year I've been trying to do more for the planet. I started holding campfires for leaders where we talked about what we could do, I've brought more teams out to the woods, and I joined Extinction Rebellion and went on a march in London (my first.)

Also inspired by Greta, my friend Moyra has been raising money to plant trees by running a mile a day for 33 days.

I asked her to pass the running baton to me. I will also be running a mile a day for 33 days.

#RunForTheTrees. Please sponsor me to do this 'something'.

Just £2 will enable Forest Without Frontiers to plant a tree. Less than a latte! £10 will plant a small copse.

There is a magic machine that sucks carbon out of the air, costs very little, and builds itself. It’s called a tree.” A recent scientific analysis concluded that growing billions of trees across the world is the single biggest and cheapest way to tackle the climate crisis, though coal, oil and gas burning must also end" George Monbiot
