We're back again for 'April's Autism Awareness Challenge' 🏆

Taking up the challenge of running for Autism last year for my Daughter Mollie 💎 we managed 175 miles throughout April. So rising to the challenge again and going that bit further, our target this year is 200 miles 🤞 finishing off with the Belfast Marathon, May 5th!! 🏃

As well as Awareness for Autism, we're aiming to raise funds for Mollie's school charity 'Friends of Ardnashee' and her local Autism group 'Circle of Support'.

Mollie, now Primary 2, is going from strength to strength since moving to Ardnashee, September 2022.

From never sitting still or taking anyone on, having very little eye contact, not listening and understanding with no awareness, Mollie's progress has been amazing!!

Mollie now makes eye contact, is listening and understanding and aware of what's around her, interacting at home and school, playing and having fun with other children!!

A slow process for me as well as Mollie but it's a working process, and it's a joy watching Mollie learn, develop, and grow everyday!!

Mollie has also joined Circle of Support. Started by a family 2011 in a similar position with a goal of helping others.

Circle of Support, organise many activities for all ages, also holding events for parents and carers, bringing everyone together to a safe space allowing everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable letting kids and adults open up and express themselves!!

Mollie's journey started off scary, mainly due to a lack of awareness and understanding on my part, but with these two services, who we cant thank enough, and now a massive part of Mollie's life, things are alot clearer and we're in the right direction!!

With raising awareness and donations, our goal is to help these services continue the amazing work they do, providing the help, support, and understanding others deserves!!
