Story

As family, as friends and as a community, two separate dates spaced over a decade apart hit us all as we mourned the passing of two special young men. Both Dinesh Kerai & Rsis Patel were colourful characters in their own respects but unfortunately fell victims to different heart related tragedies. At first, we as one community were upset, but over a decade on from Dinesh’s passing and two years on from Rsis’, we’re aiming to make a difference and to help support the research into the causes of heart related fatalities.

Having both shared the passion of football and continually taking part in the sport on a weekly basis, it seemed only fitting to remember and celebrate their lives by organising a charity football tournament. With this being said, we’re looking to raise valuable research money for the Societi. (The UK Kawasaki Disease Foundation).

Kawasaki Disease is the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children in the U.K. Kawasaki Disease often mimics other viral infections and can go misdiagnosed. Once known as a rare disease Kawasaki disease is increasingly common and it’s extremely important that every parent and every doctor has Kawasaki disease on its radar. Help us protect our children’s hearts and let’s get Kawasaki disease known. Only together can we make a change happen for our children.
