Story

David McLenachan is many things to many people: husband to Katryna, father to Tom, a dedicated member of the Festival Medical Service’s media team, an outstanding photographer capturing the moments that matter, and affectionately known as “Dangerous Dave” the glorious leader of the ‘Old Gits’ - a rag tag collective of mature festival goers who have been friends for over twenty years.

But right now David needs our help.

Last year David was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), a condition that has made everyday tasks increasingly difficult. Affecting his mobility and quality of life he is now unfortunately confined to a wheelchair. In light of this we are raising funds to provide David with regular specialist neurological physiotherapy, helping to alleviate some of the challenges he faces and keep him as comfortable as possible.

Your generous donation will go directly towards this treatment, ensuring that David can continue to live with dignity and care. Any funds raised beyond this need will be donated to the Bury Cancer Centre, a cause David has passionately supported for many years.

David has given so much to all of us. Now, it’s our turn to give back. No donation is too small - every little bit makes a difference.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity
