Story

I suffer with fibromyalgia. I know that doesn’t make me special, there are thousands of people round the Country that suffer with this debilitating disese, but with the NHS falling into disrepair, and my IV infusions potentially being stopped, I had hoped someone may help me.

For those who don’t know, fibromyalgia is a fibrous tissue condition. Its main symptom is extreme pain in all joints, meaning sufferers are quite often housebound and confined to a wherlchair on their worst days. I am unlucky that I also suffer from hypermobility syndrome, which also causes pain and can result in dislocations.

My day consists of waking at 10.00am, having breakfast and watching TV until lunchtime. At approximatley 2.00pm I go to sleep until 6.00pm, then I sit and watch TV until 11.00pm, then its bed again. During this time I take 15 tablets in the A.M., 6 more during the day, and 8 at nighttime, these are supposed to help me sleep, but are currently not working.

This brings me to explain, ‘Why a hot tub?’. In December 2009 we went on a family holiday to Scotland. The chalet we rented had a hot tub for sole use of our chalet. I had never been in one before, and was dubious, but once I set foot inside it, I experienced the best 3 hours of my life! My pain levels reduced considerably, the massage from the jets helped ease knotted muscles and I came out so relaxed it was incredible.

Having moved home in November 2017, we finally have enough space to put in a permanent hot tub, with decking so I can get in and not fall over.

Please consider making a small donation of your hard earned cash to help ease my pain and relax me a little.

Thank you ❤️
