I’m running this marathon to challenge myself, make a difference, and prove that it’s never too late to take on something big. Life is busy, demanding, and often full of responsibilities, so committing to this has meant digging deep, staying focused, and believing in myself on the days when motivation is low and the sofa looks very inviting.
This marathon is more than a race to me — it’s a journey of determination, perseverance, and purpose. Every training run, every early morning, and every aching leg is a reminder that small steps, repeated consistently, create real change. I’m learning to slow down, breathe, and trust the process, even when it feels uncomfortable.
I’m not a naturally gifted runner; I’m someone who decided to try. Training has included rainy runs, missed paces, and plenty of laughter at myself, but also moments of quiet pride. Each week I’m building stamina and confidence, and remembering why I started when it gets hard for me too.
I’ve spent many years working in primary care, supporting people and championing growth and well being. I see every day how much community, connection, and care matter. That’s why I’m putting my energy into this challenge: to raise awareness and vital funds for a cause that helps people feel supported, seen, and less alone.
There will be tough miles and wobbly moments, but I’m doing this with heart. If you’re able to support me — through a donation, sharing this page, or simply cheering me on — I would be incredibly grateful. Your encouragement will genuinely carry me through the miles and make every step count.
Thank you for being part of this with me. Let’s do something brave together.
