I've raised £2500 to help fund our Ipswich Women's Voices, Women's Votes - 100 years on festival

Across Ipswich and Suffolk a group of women of all ages and backgrounds, have been inspired by the centenary of the first women getting the vote. Together we are creating an exhilarating and exceptional festival which will take place on the 6th October 2018 at Suffolk University on the Ipswich Waterfront.. Designed and delivered by women for women, this event aims to reach out to all parts of the community to recognise the achievements of women in the last 100 years, to explore how far women still have to go to be equal and, really importantly, to encourage younger women to become more active in shaping their communities and getting their voice heard.
With the theme of Voices · Change · Power the festival day will feature new drama, poetry, workshops, singing, inspirational talks and debates, music, exhibitions , crafts, mentoring opportunities and an invitation to join the largest equalit'tea in the Eastern region. As well as the serious stuff, it will be about having a blast, finding out what we all share in common , making friendships and enabling us to continue to develop a supportive and vibrant women's network across the county.
We've worked hard to raise funds, and have £15,000 in the bank so far, but we need your help to make sure the day is the best it can be to really celebrate the achievements of women and to kickstart those networks.
We hope to raise another £2500 via this Just Giving page so please give generously.
Please put 6th October in your diary and check out our website at Women's Voices, Women's Votes 100 years on for more information about the day and how you too can get involved.
In the meantime we are counting down the 100 days to our festival with a daily #InspirationalSuffolkWoman Check out our Facebook page and Twitter account to see many of the inspiring women of Suffolk.
