I'm raising £500 for Beacon Family Services

Beacon Family Services exists as a Non Profit Organisation (CIC) to support families to optimise connection and relational well-being, despite facing external challenges. Working through play therapies we create opportunities for parents/care givers and their children to experience shared joy and playful togetherness.

Inclusivity matters to me, I have always been passionate at ensure people feel included in all aspects of life, enabling access and having a 'can do' attitude and acceptance offers a platform for people to feel seen and heard. My role at Beacon Family Services has only strengthening this core belief, in adapting and developing new and creative ways for families to access Theraplay no matter what, has been a really rewarding part of this job for me.

I worked with a family who shared these core beliefs, their Son has Cerebral Palsy and creating opportunities for adventure and fun was important to this family, and so the idea was born to take part in the Marvel Superhero Series Triathlon

The challenge as part of the Superhero Series we will take on as a team, a 750m swim which will be completed by me in Dorney Lake in Windsor, Tom will be taking on the 20k Cycle with the aim to included his son on his adapted Bicycle for part of the Journey and Dani will be completing the 5km Run again with the aim to included her son in his wheelchair if possible. The Triathlon is a fully inclusive event to promote inclusivity in sports.
