Story
Earlier this year, I heard the devastating news that my friend Dominic Bergin had been diagnosed with stage 4, secondary bowel cancer, with only 6-12 months to live. He's 34, so only a few years older than me, and was due to get married next year to his fiancée Robyn.
To help contribute to the £250,000 that he has to raise for treatment, I have decided to run the Cardiff 10k on September 11. I don't bake and time is short but I am fortunate enough to have the use of both of my legs - which means I have no excuse to not do this.
Those of you who know me, will recognise that I am more comfortable wearing 4 inch heels than trainers but this will be a personal challenge for a great cause.
Please join me in raising funds for Dominic and help save someone's life.

8 years agoSo today is the day. It has come round so quickly. Looking on Facebook this morning, Dominic is already looking better after his first round of treatment, which is really encouraging. I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has very kindly sponsored me (and more importantly, Dom). I am so thankful to have generous friends who have come together to help someone in need. You've done your bit, so now it's time to do mine. Let's do this!!!
