It’s been just over two year since my brother Niklas suddenly passed away and in order to honour his memory I have set myself the goal to run the Cologne marathon this October.

This will mean less time at the pub, more time running, and I am sure most of you would love to see me try to complete a marathon and give up my valuable time at the pub.

Alongside me trying to survive this run I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to raise some funds and awareness for a charity that has done a lot for my brother during his younger years. This charity not only helped my brother, but keeps making a significant difference for a lot of families and their disabled children across the world.

Dolphin Aid e.V. is a charity that aims to make Dolphin Therapies as accessible and affordable for children and adults in need.

I remember vividly how much my brother laughed smiled and improved throughout his first therapy. This experience and great memories of seeing my severely disabled brother strive and enjoying every second of his treatment would have never been possible without the support of this charity.

When thinking about a great cause, it was an absolute no brainer to support Dolphin Aid e.V. as I am sure it would have been the charity that my brother would have picked as well.
