We will be camping outside without tents (exposed to the weather!) in order to raise money and awareness for our charity; Refugee Rights Europe. We are doing this in order to simulate what it is like to be a refugee, where sleeping outside in horrible conditions is the the standard of living for many. We are also going to be going on a hike, lasting for about six hours. This is to give us a small taste of the journey across Europe that many refugees have to take in order to flee their war-torn countries. We feel that Refugee Rights Europe is the best charity to support the cause of refugees in Europe as it's core message and values resonates well with us.

Refugee Rights Europe (formerly the Refugee Rights Data Project) is a human rights organisation and registered UK charity. Founded in late 2015, it researches and document the lived realities of refugees and displaced people seeking protection in Europe, with a specific focus on human rights violations and inadequate humanitarian conditions. It uses its research findings to call for human rights-centred policy development across Europe, to ensure the rights of refugees and displaced people are upheld on European soil, in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
