My mum, Nina, sadly passed away on 24 August this year.

She had lived in Aston-on-Trent for 50 years, having moved into her bungalow in the 1970's.

She loved the village - its sense of community, her neighbours and friends.

One of her favourite times of the year was always the well dressings. We were lucky enough to be able to take her to this year's event and it raised a smile even though her health was already on the decline.

Rather than bringing flowers to the funeral, a lovely way to remember her would be to donate to a community event that was so close to her heart.
